Summer is always an exciting and unpredictable time—meeting new people, traveling, trying new restaurants and cuisines, or simply enjoying a peaceful time at home. It’s a season full of energy, happiness, and spontaneity.
To me, summer feels like daylight dreaming. Maybe there’s a fleeting summer romance, or maybe I catch the most breathtaking sunset by the beach.
In this piece, I’ve incorporated sounds that remind me of summer—the bright, sparkling tone of the glockenspiel to reflect hopeful energy; a rattle made from bottle caps (inspired by Sarah Gibson—rest in peace) and resonant glass bottles; because let’s be honest—summer wouldn’t be summer without a bit of booze 🤪
